Cookie Policy
This page explains what cookies are, how Kemilau Bestari uses them on this website, and how you can manage your preferences. We have tried to keep this explanation plain and practical.

1. What Are Cookies
Cookies are small text files that a website places on your device when you visit. They help a site remember your actions and preferences over a period of time, so you do not have to re-enter information each time you visit or move between pages.
Cookies do not contain information that personally identifies you on their own, though they may be combined with other data. You can control and delete cookies through your browser settings.
2. Cookies We Use
Essential Cookies
These are required for the website to function and cannot be switched off. They are set in response to actions you take, such as navigating the site or remembering your cookie preferences.
- cookieConsent — stores your cookie preference choices (localStorage, session and persistent)
Analytics Cookies
These help us understand how visitors navigate our site so we can improve it. All data collected is aggregated and not linked to any individual.
- Page view counts and session duration
- Entry and exit pages
- Browser and device type (no fingerprinting)
Marketing Cookies
These may be used to understand how visitors find our site, so we can reach people who may benefit from our programmes. We do not use targeted advertising on this site at present.
Preference Cookies
These allow the site to remember choices you make — such as language or display settings — so your experience is consistent across visits.
3. Third-Party Cookies
We embed a Google Maps iframe on our homepage to show our Penang office location. Google may set its own cookies when this content loads. Please refer to Google's own privacy and cookie documentation for details on how they handle that data.
We do not currently embed social media widgets or third-party advertising scripts on this site.
4. Cookie Duration
Session cookies are deleted automatically when you close your browser. Persistent cookies remain on your device for a defined period — typically up to 12 months for preference and analytics cookies — or until you delete them manually.
5. Your Cookie Preferences

Under Malaysia's Personal Data Protection Act 2010, you have the right to request information about personal data we hold about you. Cookie data alone generally does not constitute personal data, but if you have questions, please contact us.
Disabling non-essential cookies will not prevent you from using our website, though some minor features (such as remembered preferences) may not function as intended.
